Frank Goodwin had been a home brewer for many years when, in 1994, he started brewing on a commercial basis for his pub. The beers are mainly brewed from malt extract, and are normally only available at the Three Horseshoes where they are stored in casks and dispensed under a blanket of mixed gas. A new full mash brew, Peploe's Tipple, is named after the 1830 owner of the Three Horseshoes.

The formidably strong Farriers Beer is served by gravity, in spite of the handpump, and is also available from the pub in bottle-conditioned form, winner of the bottled category in the CAMRA West Midlands Beer of the Year Competition 2004.

In the autumn the green-hopped versions of Norton Ale and Canon Bitter are not to be missed

Norton Ale (OG 1038, 3.6%)
Canon Bitter (OG 1040, 4.1%)
Peploe's Tipple (OG , 6.0%)
Farriers Beer (OG 1115, 15.1%)
Lin's Lager (OG 1037, ABV 3.9%)
